Norfolk Primary Care (NPC) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) formed in early 2024. Previously the company was known as North Norfolk Primary Care which was incorporated in April 2017 with a vision to support local primary care. NPC now employs more than 170 people; the managerial and administrative team has similarly expanded to provide both the capacity and capability necessary to service this growth.
NPC’s mission is to be a “leading force in healthcare innovation and delivery, making our system better by working with and on behalf of primary care in North Norfolk”.

These values have been built on a culture of trust and recognition that Primary Care is changing and needs to change to deliver a service appropriate to address the needs of the local population.
The Finance and Performance Committee meets monthly. NPC has a robust approach to governance. The Articles of Association and a Shareholders Agreement sets out how the company is governed and the relationship between the Board and the shareholder practices.
NPC has a committee structure which reports into the board. The Finance, Performance and Information Governance Committee meets quarterly and is chaired by a Non-Executive Director. The Quality and Safety Committee meets monthly and is chaired by a non-executive director. Our approach to governance values the equal contribution from clinical and non-clinical colleagues and ensures the company operates in a safe, efficient and sustainable way.

We value your comments and learn from complaints, making improvements where we can. Anyone who is receiving, or has received, NHS treatment or services can complain. If you’re unable to complain yourself, someone else, usually a relative or close friend, can do so for you – we’ll just need to contact you to confirm it’s with your agreement.

Partnership working is a priority for NPC, recognising that partnering with other health care providers strengthens the range and approach of our health care delivery. We currently work with the following delivery partners; numerous GP practices in North and Central Norwich, James Paget University Hospitals NHS Trust, Norfolk and Norwich Unversity Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn NHS Foundation Trust, Norfolk and Waveney ICB, Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust.
