After more than three years of dedicated service, we are saying thank you and farewell to Simon George, who is stepping down from his role as Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of our Finance & Performance Committee.
Joining Norfolk Primary Care in early 2022, Simon has played an important role during a significant period of change and growth for the organisation. His financial expertise, strategic insight and commitment to strong governance have helped shape the organisation, including supporting our successful transition to becoming a Community Interest Company (CIC).
Throughout his time on the Board, Simon has provided invaluable challenge, guidance and oversight, helping to ensure we continue to operate with sound financial stewardship while remaining focused on delivering high-quality services for patients and supporting general practice across Norfolk and Waveney.
As we thank Simon for his contribution, we also recognise the lasting impact he has had on the organisation and the strength of governance he has helped to build.

“It has been a privilege to serve on the Board of Norfolk Primary Care over the past few years. I have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside such passionate and committed colleagues who are making a real difference to primary care across Norfolk and Waveney. I am proud to have been part of the organisation’s journey, particularly its transition to a Community Interest Company, and I leave knowing it is well placed for the future. I would like to thank everyone for their support, professionalism and friendship, and I wish the organisation every success for the years ahead.”
