Enhanced Access Service

The Enhanced Access Service is designed to provide patients with a primary care service beyond the traditional ‘core hours’ and extend this to evening and weekends to offer patients better access to GP appointments. That means that you will be able to see a GP or Nurse Practitioner at a time which is most convenient for you.

Norfolk Primary Care (NPC), in collaboration with the 15 GP practices in North Norfolk operates from 12 different practices across the patch to support patients from all locations.

The Enhanced Access Service supports patients with the flexibility to book an appointment at a convenient time around their day-to-day obligations. Furthermore, this alleviates the pressures of on the day and routine appointments in general practice.

When is the clinic run?

Enhanced Access clinics are held between the following days and times:

Monday to Friday 18:30-20:00
Saturday 09:00-17:00

How do I get an appointment?

You can make either a face to face or a telephone appointment by contacting your GP practice.

If appropriate for your medical needs, ask the receptionist for an Enhanced Access appointment. The receptionist will book you an appointment at your nearest HUB location.

You will also be asked if you are happy for your medical records to be shared with our clinician as we are a separate company that supports primary care.

How do I contact the service?

Please contact your surgery directly for any queries related to the service. These can either be dealt with at the practice or passed on to NPC.

Who is it run by?

NPC oversees the operations and administration of this service through the following people:

NPC employs a regular pool of clinicians, of both GPs and Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistance. Majority of which, also work directly with the practices themselves.
